Describe Transcription and Translation.

51 comments:

  1. Transcription-this is where the RNA molecules by copying a part of a nucleotide sequence of DNA into a complementary sequence in RNA. During Transcription RNA polymerase binds to DNA and separates it. RNA then uses that strand as a template from which nucleotides are made into a strand of RNA.

Translation- is the decoding of an mRNA message into a polypeptide chain. During translation the information from messenger RNA is used to produce proteins. Translation takes place in the Ribosomes of the cell

  2. TRANSCRIPTION:

The process where messenger RNA is synthesized from a DNA template. This results in the transfer of genetic information from the DNA molecule to the messenger RNA.

    TRANSLATION:

The process by which messenger RNA directs the amino acid sequence of a growing polypeptide during protein synthesis.
