When you view a food label, some information you can obtain from this for example grams of total fat, sugar, protein, carbohydrates, sodium, etc. By observing this you can tell if this certain kind of good is healthy for you or not. (helps you make better choices). My percentages for fat, carbs and protein in my diet are about 29% fat, 57% carbohydrates and 15% protein.

On a nutrition label, you can find out how much sugar, carbs, calories and other things that are in it, and from that you can figure out whether or not it's good for you. It also shows how much of a certain food you need to have each day which is called the percent daily value.
